The body of a 50-year-old man found by a hiker in the Tujunga Wash flood control channel in the Shadow Hills area was identified Friday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The body was discovered about 8:30 a.m. Thursday, and firefighters and police officers were sent to the scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The medical examiner identified the body as Jorge Vasquez. The cause of his death remains undetermined.
