A pedestrian was killed in a collision that closed multiple lanes of the Hollywood (101) Freeway near downtown Los Angeles, authorities said Friday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called to the southbound freeway and North Los Angeles Street at 1:45 p.m. Thursday where they found the pedestrian in one of the freeway lanes, CHP Officer Erik Larsen told City News Service.
The victim, whose name, gender and age were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP closed two lanes of the freeway while they investigated the cause of the crash.
