A fight in Long Beach escalated into a shooting in which someone fired a shot into the air, authorities said Sunday.
Officers dispatched to the 200 block of East Market Street at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday regarding a “shots” call located evidence that a shooting had occurred, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a fight had occurred and during the skirmish a man fired a shot into the air. Police had no suspect information and the investigation was ongoing.
