A fire at a residential building under construction where there had been a previous fire was knocked down in Boyle Heights Tuesday.
Fire crews responded at 1:32 a.m. to 2421 E. Lancaster Ave. near North Soto Street where they found the three-story building was engulfed in flames, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
Due to the previous fire, firefighters encountered the dangers of a weakened structure and existing holes in the roof and floors as they battled the flames.
It took 32 firefighters 28 minutes to extinguish the flames
No injuries were reported, Prange said.
