Two men Thursday are in police custody in connection to the death of a 28-year-old man found in the lake at MacArthur Park.

Arrests were made but the suspects have not been booked, the LAPD’s media relations division told City News Service Thursday morning.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday to the 2200 block of Sixth Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The man’s body was discovered in the northeast section of the lake.

He later was identified by the medical examiner as Kyle Sherwood, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information was immediately available. Reports from the scene suggested the man may have been in a fight with one or more people, and he was ultimately pushed into the lake.
