A man was hospitalized Saturday after being shot in the Vermont-Slauson area of Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported about 3:45 p.m. Saturday at Hoover and 60th streets, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Charles Miller told City News Service.
The man became involved in a verbal dispute with another man who is suspected of shooting him, Miller said.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he had stable vital signs, the officer said.
The suspect was not identified and remained at large, Miller said.
The shooting was believed gang-related, he said.
