Firefighters contained a residential structural fire in Desert Hot Springs Thursday.
The blaze was first reported at 7:59 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of 20th Avenue and Circle B Drive, according to a Riverside County Fire Department statement. A single-story, single-family dwelling was at the center of the operation.
Officials were able to contain the fire within approximately 30 minutes, according to the statement. Two additional engines were called to the scene to assist with the effort.
Fire resources were expected to remain at the location for approximately three hours to salvage property and overhaul the site.
Information on the nature of any injuries was not immediately available.
