Police sought the public’s assistance Friday in locating a 69-year-old woman with an unspecified medical condition that affects her mental cognition last seen in the Mid-City area.
Beryl Angela Thomas was last seen in the 1400 block of Hi Point Street Thursday, near Pico Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Thomas is believed to frequent the area where she was last seen and is known to use Los Angeles public transportation, police said.
Detectives described Thomas as a 5-foot-6-inch tall Black woman weighing 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
It was unclear what Thomas was last seen wearing before being reported missing, but she frequently wears a long-sleeve shirt and sweatpants with dark-colored rimmed prescription glasses.
Police said Thomas’ family is growing concerned about her well-being and presumes she may be “confused or disoriented if contact.”
Anyone with information regarding Thomas’ whereabouts was urged to call LAPD Wilshire Division detectives at 213-922-8205. Calls during non-business hours or weekends should be directed to 877-527-3247. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org.
