A fire at a vacant, three-story house in the Harvard Heights area of Los Angeles was quickly knocked down Tuesday, authorities said.

Firefighters responded to the 1400 block of St. Andrews Place, near Pico Boulevard and Western Avenue, around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday regarding a structure fire, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The department said 55 crew members ascended ladders to the roof of the residence to provide ventilation as hose lines were used to extinguish the flames.

The fire was knocked down in 36 minutes, with no reported injuries. The cause was under investigation.
