A Los Angeles Fire Department helicopter conducted a hoist operation in Pacific Palisades Saturday to rescue a man who became ill while hiking the Temescal Ridge Trail.
The helicopter was summoned at 12:55 p.m. Saturday to the area of El Medio Avenue and Anoka Drive, the LAFD’s Lyndsey Lantz told City News Service.
A 47-year-old man was hoisted aboard the chopper and taken to a hospital for treatment, Lantz said.
The nature of his illness was not released due to privacy laws, she said.
