A fire that erupted Tuesday in the attic of a San Jacinto home caused damage that displaced the occupants, who escaped uninjured.
The blaze was reported just before 10 a.m. in the 22000 block of Las Palmas Court, just east of the Soboba Springs Golf Course, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered smoke emanating from the upper tier of the single-story residence.
Firefighters contained the flames to the attic space, but the damage was extensive.
The two adult residents, whose identities were not disclosed, were displaced. However, they apparently did not require assistance from Red Cross to make arrangements for temporary alternate lodgings.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
