The Cathedral City Police Department will host a multi-department active shooter training drill Thursday at Cathedral City High School.
Intended to focus on multi-agency coordination and medical response to an active shooter scenario, the exercise will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday and continue for approximately six hours, according to the department’s Julio Luna.
In addition to CCPD personnel, members of the Indio Police Department, Palm Springs Fire Department and Cathedral City Fire Department will be present at the session.
The event will be closed to the public.
