Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau Monday surrounded a La Puente residence where a woman suspect was barricaded.
The incident began at about 11:40 p.m. Sunday in the 18200 block of Renault Street, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
A Crisis Negotiation Team was trying to contact the suspect to work out a peaceful resolution, officials said.
Surrounding homes were evacuated, the officials said.
The reason the woman is a suspect was not disclosed.
