A 30-year-old man suspected of vandalism in downtown Los Angeles was taken into custody Monday.

Investigators executed a search warrant in the 700 block of Towne Avenue, near Seventh and San Pedro streets, in downtown Los Angeles on Monday, which stemmed from a report of vandalism on May 28, where they located Julian-Guy Vladimir Alfa and arrested him, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Patrol officers from the Central Community Police Station responded to the 400 block of South Spring Street, near Fourth Street, around 12:20 p.m. May 28 and discovered the inside of a building heavily tagged with very distinct figures.

“The investigative detective authored a search warrant for Alfa’s residence, which was approved by a Los Angeles County judge,” police said in a statement.

Alfa was booked at the Metropolitan Detention Center on suspicion of felony vandalism and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for vandalism.

Anyone with information regarding the vandalism or who may have been victimized was urged to call LAPD Central Burglary Detective Jason O’Brien at 213-996-9864.
