A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Lake Elsinore Friday.
The crash occurred around 9:40 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Bushman Avenue, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Brad Foster.
American Medical Response personnel located the pedestrian unresponsive in the roadway and immediately began rendering life-saving measures to the victim, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Foster said the driver remained at the scene and was cooperative during the investigation, which remains ongoing.
The victim’s name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
Drugs and alcohol were not deemed to be a factor in the collision, Foster said.
