A Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter and a 28-year-old man were hospitalized Thursday with non-life threatening burn injuries during a fire at a two-story garden apartment building in North Hollywood.
Fire crews were called at 11:36 p.m. Wednesday to 6104 Cahuenga Blvd., between Oxnard Street and Victory Boulevard, where they found flames coming from both floors, said LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
It took 48 firefighters 22 minutes to extinguish the fire.
In addition to the injured firefighter and the 28-year-old man, an 80-pound dog was found dead during a search of the building and a 35-year-old woman was assessed at the scene but she declined to go to a hospital.
