A 32-year-old motorcycle rider was struck and killed by a driver who fled in Northridge, authorities said Saturday.
The collision was reported at 10:10 p.m. Friday and officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to Tampa Avenue and Plummer Street where witnesses said the victim was traveling east on Tampa when he was struck by a man in a vehicle driving south on Plummer, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The driver, who witnesses said was a man, fled south on Plummer without stopping, police said.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
