A male was wounded during a fight with a female when another male used a gun to break it up in Playa del Rey, authorities said Monday.
The shooting occurred about 6 p.m. Sunday at the Del Rey Lagoon,6660 Esplanade St., according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The male and female were in a physical fight when the other male got a gun from his vehicle and fired shots at him, the officer said.
The wounded male was taken by ambulance to a hospital where his vital signs were stable, the officer said.
The ages of the fighters and the shooter were not available and the shooting may have been gang-related, he said.
