Authorities Wednesday identified a man who was struck and killed by a vehicle on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway in Montebello.
The collision was reported at 10:38 p.m. Tuesday near the Garfield Avenue off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers found the injured pedestrian and one vehicle blocking one lane of the freeway, the CHP reported.
Adwale Oyedokun, 29, died at the scene, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner reported. His city of residence was not known.
The CHP issued a Sigalert for the closure of three lanes of the eastbound portion of the freeway for several hours while they investigated the cause of the collision.
