A stolen car suspect was taken into custody after what police say was a ”high-risk” traffic enforcement stop in San Marino, authorities said Friday.
San Marino Police Department officers responded on Thursday to the area of San Marino Avenue and California Boulevard regarding a stolen vehicle reported out of Los Angeles, according to the department. The stolen vehicle was located as it traveled through San Marino into San Gabriel and officers requested the assistance from Pasadena Police Department Air Operations and San Gabriel Police Department.
In San Gabriel, police took the suspect, Mark Arreola of Van Nuys, into custody. During the preliminary investigation, Arreola was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended drivers’ license, police said.
He was also on active probation for a prior robbery arrest from an outside jurisdiction.
Arreola was booked into the Pasadena City Jail on stolen vehicle, drug paraphernalia and a driving with a suspended license charges.
