The California Highway Patrol had issued a Silver Alert Tuesday on behalf of the Long Beach Police Department for Truman Simon, who had last been seen at approximately 5:20 p.m. Tuesday near California Avenue and East 61st Street in Long Beach.

Simon was found “safe and unharmed by the Los Angeles (County) Sheriff’s Department and returned to his residence,” the Long Beach Police Department announced at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.
