A motorist was killed Friday in a rollover crash on the east end of San Jacinto.
The fatality occurred just after 7 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Soboba Road and State Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency said the victim, whose identity wasn’t immediately released, was northbound on Soboba at an unconfirmed speed when he apparently lost control, causing his vehicle to overturn.
Riverside County Fire Department crews reached the location minutes later and extricated the motorist, who was pronounced the motorist dead at the scene.
CHP officers partially shut down Soboba to conduct a preliminary investigation and clear the wreckage.
The closure was expected to be lifted by noon.
