Authorities sought the public’s assistance in locating a 28-year-old at-risk woman last seen Sunday in the city of Lynwood.
Mariela Vargas was last heard from Sunday in the 121000 block of Alpine Avenue, near Burton Avenue, around 9 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Vargas was described as a 5-feet-5-inch Hispanic woman with brown eyes and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a tan floral-pattern shirt and black pants. The department did not state Vargas’ risk factors.
