A 54-year-old motorcyclist who was killed when he rear-ended a bus and struck another vehicle in Gardena was identified Monday.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified him as Moreno Valley resident Ernest Ridgle.
The crash occurred at 6:10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Western Avenue and 139th Street, the Gardena Police Department reported.
The biker was going southbound on Western when the motorcycle rear-ended a bus and struck the other vehicle. Paramedics pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
