A man was killed in a shooting in Coachella Saturday, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced.
Deputies responded to the 51800 block of Shady Lane around 3:20 a.m. Saturday to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Responding deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity was withheld pending notification to the next of kin.
No arrests were made, and no suspect information was immediately available.
