Fire crews knocked down a residential fire with an automobile involved in Northridge Sunday.
The fire was reported around 5:30 p.m. Sunday at 19036 West Bryant St., between Oakdale and Corbin avenues, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The flames engulfed a car and extended to the first floor of a two-story apartment building.
More than 30 firefighters contained the fire and prevented it from extending into the second floor, Stewart said.
No injuries were reported.
