An inmate who was found dead at the Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles was identified Friday.
The inmate was identified as Daejon Morgan, 20, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were notified of an inmate who was found unresponsive at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday and investigators responded to the jail at 441 Bauchet St. near Avila Street, the sheriff’s department said.
Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel were called to the scene and pronounced the man dead.
