A woman suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower body at a shooting in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
Officers were dispatched about 1:55 a.m. Friday to a hospital, where the woman was receiving treatment for her injuries, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Officers sent to the area of Artesia Boulevard and Downey Avenue, where the woman said she was allegedly shot, were unable to locate a crime scene.
“The location of the shooting, suspect information, and motive remain under investigation,” according to a police statement.
