A 31-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with a pickup truck in Cathedral City Thursday.
The crash was reported shortly before noon Thursday at Cathedral Canyon and East Palm Canyon drives, according to the Cathedral City Police Department.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene but it was unclear whether the driver of the truck suffered any injuries. However, police say the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigation.
The victim was identified as Nicholas Griego, a resident of Palm Desert.
The intersection of Cathedral Canyon and East Palm Canyon drives was closed for an unspecified period of time.
The investigation was ongoing and the CCPD. It was unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved.
