Authorities Thursday released the name of a pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries when he was hit by a car in Newport Beach.
The collision happened about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at East Coast Highway and Los Trancos, police said. A westbound vehicle struck 38-year-old transient Patrick Taylor Bush, who was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
Police were still working to determine the cause of the collision and asked anyone who may have seen it to call investigators at 949-644-3747, alaverty@nbpd.org.
