A head-on collision between a semi tractor and a Toyota Corolla left a woman dead Thursday in Covina.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol were called at 1:58 a.m. to North Lark Ellen Avenue and East Cypress Street where they found the victim, CHP Officer Dean Lough told City News Service.
Witnesses at the scene said the woman crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and was struck head on by the semi.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP will be handling the investigation of the fatal crash.
