One person was killed in a rollover crash near South Pasadena Saturday that trapped the victim inside the vehicle.
The crash was reported at 4:40 a.m. near the York Boulevard exit of southbound State Route 110 and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene, where they found the overturned SUV blocking the slow lane of the state route, California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kraviz told City News Service.
A SigAlert was issued at 5:15 a.m., closing the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes of the southbound freeway for at least two hours. The No. 1 lane remained opened.
The driver, whose name, gender and age were not released, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart .
