A 50-year-old man who was found dead in Compton was identified Monday.
Around 11:40 a.m. Sunday, deputies were alerted to a death in the 1900 block of South Acacia Avenue, near the Metro Artesia station, according to the sheriff’s department.
The man, identified Monday as Damon Bluthenthal, was located near a “waste ground” south of the Artesia Station parking lot, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The cause of Bluthenthal’s death remains unknown.
