Firefighters put out flames Saturday that started with a vehicle and spread to a single-family home in the Harvard Heights area of Los Angeles.
The fire was reported at 3:57 p.m. Saturday at 1146 S. Oxford Ave., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart. It was out at 4:23 p.m.
Flames were showing when firefighters arrived and they kept the fire from spreading to nearby buildings, Stewart said.
The fire spread into the original home and into its attic before firefighters put it out, she said.
No injuries were reported.
The Incident Commander requested an arson investigator be dispatched to the scene due to reports from occupants about a possible cause of the fire, Stewart said.
