An apartment in a three-story building in Venice caught fire Friday morning, but firefighters put it out in 23 minutes.

The fire was reported at 8:11 a.m. Friday at 534 E. Indiana Ave., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

Video from the scene showed flames lapping out of a second-floor unit.

LAFD firefighters, assisted by the Santa Monica Fire Department, had the blaze out at 8:34 a.m., Stewart said.

No injuries were reported.
