A man was critically wounded during a shooting in Long Beach Saturday morning, authorities said.
Officers dispatched at about 12:10 a.m. Saturday to a shooting in the 2500 block of Santa Fe Avenue located the victim, who was suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Police said the man had gotten into an argument with a suspect, which escalated into a shooting. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.
No suspect description was immediately available.
