A fire on the first floor of a two-story home in Granada Hills was extinguished in 19 minutes by 34 firefighters Tuesday evening with no injuries reported.
Fire crews were called at 10:23 p.m. to 10860 Zelzah Ave., about one-third of a mile north of Chatsworth Street, where initial reports indicated that a Christmas tree was the possible origin of the blaze, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The occupants of the home safely evacuated before firefighters arrived, according to Stewart.
