Deputies from the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station were searching Friday for a 14-year-old boy who went missing from Lawndale.

Juan Daniel Leon was last seen at 9 a.m. Thursday on the 4100 block of West Rosecrans Avenue, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department press release.

Leon is described as Hispanic, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 120 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a scar on his back shoulder blade. He was wearing a black shirt, dark gray jeans and black shoes.

Leon’s family is concerned for his well-being and asking the public to help find him.

Anyone with information was asked to call the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station at 323-820-6700.
