Two handguns were recovered during unrelated arrests Sunday morning in Long Beach, authorities said.
At 12:16 a.m. Sunday, officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Victoria Street, where suspects were arrested and a handgun was recovered, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
At about 1:30 a.m., officers attempted to contact a suspect for loitering in the 1900 block of Lemon Avenue. The suspect fled on foot and allegedly discarded a handgun. Officers recovered a gun and the suspect was arrested, police said.
No further information was immediately available.
