A 76-year-old woman killed in a two-vehicle collision in Sunland was identified Wednesday.
Firefighters responded to the 8200 block of Foothill Boulevard, near McVine Avenue and the Haines Canyon Channel, around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday following reports of a severe traffic collision, where a victim had to be freed from one of the vehicles involved, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The victim, who was freed from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was later identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Anait Babakhanyan.
A 60-year-old man was critically injured and a 35-year-old woman was reported to be in fair condition and were taken to hospitals.
It was unclear what led up to the collision.
