One person suffered life-threatening injuries Monday in a crash in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles.

The crash was reported at 5:55 a.m. at the intersection of Third and Western avenues and was initially reported as a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Rosario Cervantes.

She said one person was reported to be in extremely critical condition, but she had no other details.

KCAL9 reported from the scene the critically injured person was a female street vendor who was selling tamales on the sidewalk and was struck by one of two vehicles involved in the crash. The station reported that a total of four people were injured, with two of them considered to be minor injuries.

Cervantes said the crash remained under investigation.
