One of the two women struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Lake Balboa was identified Tuesday. .
Firefighters responded to the 17000 block of Roscoe Boulevard, near Balboa Boulevard, around 6:12 p.m. Monday to reports of a train collision involving two pedestrians, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Both victims were examined and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner identified one of the women Tuesday as 31-year-old Anna Jacobson.
It was unclear what led up to the two women being struck by the train.
The name of the other woman was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
