An attic fire in a single-story residence in Mid City was knocked down in the early hours Wednesday, authorities said.
The fire was reported around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, in the 2800 block of South Bedford Street by the Santa Monica (10) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Three dozen firefighters knocked down the flames in about half hour, confining it to the attic with wood shake roof that supported a faster surface spread, the department stated.
No injuries were reported.
