A pet bird died and some others were injured during a shed fire and attic fire Saturday in the rear of a home in Van Nuys, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 11:23 a.m. to 7802 N. Zombar Ave. had the fire out at 11:59 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
“There are some pet birds in the backyard, sadly at least one is deceased and some injured,” said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Fire damaged a shed in the rear of a home, also spreading to the home’s attic.
No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
