A man was wounded when he was shot while driving in the Vermont Vista area of South Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
The man was driving at 111th Place and Figueroa Street at about 4:20 p.m. Sunday when the man sitting next to him in the vehicle heard shots and realized they had struck the vehicle, wounding the driver, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The 24-year-old man was driven to a hospital for treatment and had stable vital signs, the officer said.
There was no suspect information, he said.
