A 22-year-old man riding a skateboard was struck and killed Thursday morning by a hit-and-run vehicle in Koreatown.
The crash occurred about 5:50 a.m. Thursday in the area of Mariposa Avenue and Sixth Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.
The vehicle was northbound on Catalina Avenue, making a left turn onto Sixth, when it struck the pedestrian. A description of the vehicle was unavailable.
Arriving paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene and police had no description of the suspect vehicle. The man’s identity was not immediately made public.
