Firefighters Thursday rescued a pet dog from a fire at a two-story house in South Los Angeles.
Firefighters dispatched at 9:44 a.m. Thursday to 647 E. 50th St. had the fire out within 37 minutes of their arrival, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Firefighters rescued one pet dog from inside the structure and are continuing to search for a cat reported to be inside,” said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
