Someone was shot and wounded Friday by Orange County Sheriff’s deputies in Dana Point.
A caller to sheriff’s dispatchers reported that a woman was screaming near Ridgepoint Street and Camino del Avion, according to an Orange County Sheriff’s Department statement on social media.
Deputies responded at 4:10 a.m. Friday and were involved in a shooting that wounded one person, who was taken to a hospital, sheriff’s officials said. No deputies were injured.
The OCSD did not release the gender, age or name of the person wounded or the reason for the shooting, but promised more information will follow.
