Police sought the public’s help Thursday finding the hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a man in his 70s in the El Sereno area.

The unidentified man was struck around 1:20 a.m. Jan. 3 near Huntington Drive and Rose Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said a light-colored sedan being driven east on Huntington struck the man, who was crossing the street at Rosemead Avenue, then fled the scene without stopping.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the locations and took the victim to a hospital for severe injuries.

The city offers a standing reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of suspects in an injury hit-and-run.
