The Los Angeles Police Department has issued a Silver Alert in hopes of locating a 74-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease who went missing Saturday from the Venice area.

Richard Hunter was last seen around 10:30 a.m. Saturday walking from his home in the 2300 block of Wilson Avenue, according to an LAPD statement.

Hunter is white, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, about 195 pounds, with gray hair, gray mustache and brown eyes, last seen wearing a black hat, gray jacket, dark pants and gray shoes.

Anyone with information on Hunter’s whereabouts was asked to call the Pacific Area Watch Commander at 310-482-6334, 877-527-3247 after hours or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.

Silver Alerts are issued by the California Highway Patrol or other law enforcement agencies to provide immediate information in hopes of a swift recovery of an at-risk elderly, developmentally or cognitively impaired person.
